WORKERS' COMPENSATION LAW

The workers’ compensation system was designed for on-the-job physical injuries, but has expanded over the years to include psyche, chemical exposure, allergies, and other injuries that present problems of proof. Applicants and applicant’s attorneys are continually pushing to expand the definition of what is work related and to fit everything that is physically or mentally wrong with an applicant into the workers’ compensation system.

We team up with claims adjusters to limit the claim to what is compensable under the workers’ compensation system and to aggressively litigate claims for injury that are not work related or alleged injury in excess of what was actually caused by work.

Workers’ compensation law is an increasingly complex and specialized area of practice and our attorneys have extensive experience in handling all aspects of workers’ compensation claims. Our attorneys are familiar with SB 899 and the AMA Guides and keep current with the case law related to it. We are frequently asked to present seminars on workers’ compensation fraud, subrogation, and other topics.
